Tejas Networks Placement Process

Stage-1

Stage-2


Written Round :

Paper consisted of 10 aptitude and 30 technical questions. Level of aptitude was quite good, although most of the questions from technical section were easy and tested the basics. Technical section mostly covered questions from digital electronics, computer architecture, analog electronics, network theory and few questions were of digital communication, electromagnetic theory, data communication and networking .
Some of the questions were :-
1. Based on set up and hold time , to find out maximum operating frequency of the given circuit , to find output function of given combinational circuit comprising MUX and gates .
2. Related to clamper ,Mosfet , operational amplifier , to find voltage across a capacitor in a RC circuit (transient and steady state response ), time constant of given RC circuit (circuit consisting of 3-4 capacitors and resistors).
3. Address decoding , a memory with some decoding circuit was given ,needed to find the decoded address , to find size of register (some conditions were given related to data transmission ).
4. There were 1-2 ques. each from EM theory (question related to skin depth although in interview questions were asked related to transmission line )and DCN (related to some layer).
On the whole, technical portion was quite easy and basics were tested.




Stage-3


Technical Interview Round :-

-> The person who interviewed me was from FPGA team. He started with the introduction, then he moved to my resume which he thoroughly discussed, related to my projects based on RISC processor its implementation, Buck converter (modulation used–PWM)
-> I had mentioned in my resume about the “Circuit of the Day”, he asked about the event , discussed a problem related to COD.
-> Then he moved to paper discussion, asked questions which I could not attempt or did wrong, asked question related to increasing the operating frequency of a circuit (basically it was sequential circuit consisting of some combinational circuit in
between the flip flops ). The interviewer did not ask much from me as compared to others whose interview lasted for 40-45 mins, mine was hardly 20 mins. I had one technical interview while few of my friends had to face two technical interview. It was mainly because I had done quite well in the written round.




Stage-4


HR Interview Round

A mere formality with few typical questions like why you want to join the company, what you will do under a given situation, strength,weakness, etc.
