Idea Cellular is an Aditya Birla Group Company, India's first truly multinational corporation. Vodafone India merged with Idea Cellular, and was renamed as Vodafone Idea Limited. Vodafone Idea Limited is an Indian telecom operator with its headquarters based in Mumbai, Maharashtra and Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Stage-2
It was an online test comprising of aptitude and technical parts :-
(a) Aptitude Part: It had 35 questions to be done in 30 minutes which were not tough to solve. You just have to manage time properly. Make sure you are solving maximum amount of questions in the given time constraint. The aptitude part had a lot of grammar questions based upon the syntax of sentences which you will be able to do easily if you know the language well enough.
(b) Technical Part 1 followed by Technical Part 2: Both the technical parts had 30 questions to be done in 20 minutes. Questions were not that tough but you need to have studied the subjects (Analog and Digital Communication, Data Communication & networks and some questions from the general topics like diode, CRO etc.) rather thoroughly.

Group Discussion
They made four groups each consisting of 10 people. The topic provided to us was Net Neutrality : Operator vs Internet. All the groups were given current trending topics so have an insight in what is going on in the current world. However topics given to each group were simple for they were not try to look for hardcore speakers but they were focusing on the fact whether one is able to freely express one’s thoughts or not.
Stage-4
Personal Interview
The personal interview was a technical cum HR interview. It started with casual talk that was supposed to make the interviewee comfortable and then they moved on to the technical portion. They were solely basing their question on my area of interest.
Some of the questions asked in the interview were:
1. What do you want to do in your future?
2. What is the need of modulation?
3. What is QAM?
4. What is the meaning of 64 in 64-QAM?
5. What is the frequency of audio signals?
6. What is the difference between audio and speech signals?
7. What is OQPSK?
8. What do you understand by GPS system and explain the working of it?
9. Explain your project?
10. What extracurricular activities have you done?
11. What is the biggest achievement of your life so far?
12. What is OSI? Tell its full form and explain various layers of it (only names) ?
IMPORTANT POINTS:
1. Try to stay as calm as possible and speak comfortably as rush is only going to make things worse.
2. Whatever you are telling, try to explain it properly with absolute confidence. If there is something you do not know anything about then tell them directly and try not to beat around the bush but if you have any insight in the topic then let them know about that as they are interested in your thinking procedure.
3. Know your project thoroughly as they will raise question about the problem you faced during the making of it or any other problem they think that might come. In the later case they will ask you for the possible solutions so think properly and then answer.
4. Just remember that confidence and proper speaking is the key here so be relaxed during the interview even if get one or two questions wrong.
