Fidelity Investments Internship Process

Stage-1

CPI cut-off : 5 and above

Branches allowed : CH, CE, CSE, EE, ECE, IT, ME

Job Location : Bangalore, Chennai

Stipend : 40000 per month (Also 15000 Travel Reimbursement- One Time)

Provision of PPO : Yes

Stage-2

It was an online test of 2:00 hours hosted on hackerearth. The test included 2 coding questions and around 25 MCQ questions from various topics. Some of the topics are:

1. C/C++/JAVA questions on expected outcomes of code snippets.

2. General aptitude and logical reasoning

3. English

 The coding questions were very easy and basic level. I don’t remember the exact question but I do remember that one question was just of sorting and the other one was just a simple operation on string.

  MCQ questions were of moderate difficulty and covered wide range of topics.

Stage-3

Technical Interview Round 

  My interview was about 35-40 min long. Questions were asked from many topics. It started with data structures (implementation of basic operations of queue, stack and linked lists), then some from algorithms (sorting, greedy approach etc..) and then he asked me some questions on OOPs and SQL as it was the part of my project that I mentioned in my resume. 

Stage-4

HR Interview Round 

 Finally it was the HR interview round. Interviewer asked some questions out of the information given in the resume like about hobbies and interests and all. 

Suggestions/Tips :-

1. For coding rounds:- If you are not reaching to an optimal solution, just go for the brute approach without considering the Constraints given in the questions because in many tests, the test cases are so weak that you will score full points even with your brute approach.

2. In Interviews:- Speak in front of the interviewer even if you are not able to solve the problem completely. They want to see your approach and most of the time will help you to reach to the solution.  

3. Project:- Do study the topics related to project as questions can be asked from them.

Results

Finally, 8 students( CSE-2, CH-2, IT-1, ECE-1, EE-1, CE-1 ) were selected including me for the Internship role at Fidelity.
